Y6 TRIP TO SPARK ARENA

                        SPARK ARENA!!!

Aloha bloggers, This morning at 9:00am the year sixes went to spark arena. It took us 15 - 20 minutes. Traffic was slow but we finally got there and we were so excited to get in. I sat with my friend Arielle and in front of us was my other friends Erana and Chrystelle. It felt really cool and  for some reason it felt so huge in the bus. We played a game because we were bored, so decided we were waving at random people who drove passed us and who ever got the most waves back won. We finally got there and boy were we excited. Me and my friends were walking and talking at the same time. We went inside and sat down. My teacher Ms Daly and Ms Jones took a photo with Suzy Cato before we went inside. They looked excited taking photos with Suzy Cato.

Anway Suzy Cato and the CEO of of Spark Arena showed us around and told us two or more things about Spark Arena. We first went to HAPPY PLACE me and my friends and were so excited to jump into the ball pit. We waited in line. What felt like 10 hours, we finally made it to the front. We walked up the stairs and the helper for the ball pit called 4,3,2,1 JUMP!. We jumped with excitement. Its really funny how we waited for so long, and it only felt like a 2 minute thrill. But I admit. It was worth the wait.  We walked and saw a rubber ducky room that was all yellow including the balls and the bath tub that. It felt weird being in a room full of rubber duckies.

Next we walked and saw an upside down room and waited in line to take a photo. The line was so long but then we realised that we could have another jump in the ball pit so we went for another round and this time it didn't take long for me to get out and I was very proud. Anyway we left the Happy Place and went to Sounds Fun We looked at frames that were signed by artist like Bruno Mars and Katy Perry and way more people it was so cool. We played an electric drum and played some keys and notes on a piano Me and my friends tried a trombone. It like a trumpet but it sounded deep. My first go at it and it sounded so bad. It was really fun making a lot of funny noises and to me it kinda sounded like a dying elephant.

Then after Sounds Fun we went to Van Gogh alive it was really cool and really interesting well I guess to me. The year sixes were taking a photo while I was still reading about Van Gogh. I didn't realise until I looked back and they were taking a photo WITHOUT ME  how RUDE! so I quickly walked there and sat down to take a photo with the other year sixes. Me and my friends went to go sit down on the floor while the projector was casting Van Gogh painting on the floor. My favourite Van Gogh painting was the live train painting. After a while at staring and looking at Van Gogh's amazing paintings we left.

Next we walked into a whole room of daisys it was really cool. The room smelt like daisies. It had mirrors all over the room and it made it look like we were in a field of daisies. it was a really cool effect. We were done with the day but the Spark Arena staff gave us a pack of food and it was so delicious. The lunch pack came with an apple, juice, ham sandwich and chippies. Once we finished lunch we walked to the bus and hoped on with my friends. Traffic was way better then when we left in the morning. it only took ANOTHER 5- 15 minuets before we got back to school in time for lunch time. And that was my day and experience at Spark Arena. Thank you for reading my blog. ALOHA BLOGGERS!!

  1. Kia ora Faith - wow, what a morning! I'm not sure from the photographs, who enjoyed the trip the most - the teachers or the students I wonder? Could you explain how it felt to be amidst all of those balls in the ball pit, were you even able to reach the bottom of it with your feet? What a fabulous experience, how have you thanked the organisers of this cool event?
